The flag of Uzbekistan is my pride

Festive events were held in honor of the 28th anniversary of the adoption of the State Flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan at the Branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) named after I.M. Gubkin in Tashkent city.

“The flag of Uzbekistan is my pride” – under this logo thematic projects were carried out in the Students’ dormitory located at the address: Olimlar str. 64 and Durmon Yuli str. 34.

In their speeches, students noted that the Law "On the State Flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan" was adopted on November 18, 1991, which stipulates that the national flag is a symbol of the state sovereignty of the country. The guys shot a thematic video clip in honor of the holiday, they also noted, with a video demonstration, that the flagpole was installed in a number of regions in the capital of Uzbekistan: on Peoples' Friendship Square, in Bektemir district - at the intersection of Akhangaran Highway and Hussein Baykaro Street, in Yashnabad District - at the intersection Mirzo Ulugbek and Makhtumkuli streets.

- Currently the State flag flies over the buildings of the Presidential Administration, the Chambers of the Oliy Majlis, the government, local governments, diplomatic and trade missions of the republic abroad. The flag of independent Uzbekistan, among others, flutters high in front of the headquarters of the United Nations, students said.

- The military, kneeling in front of the State Flag, take an oath to courageously defend their homeland. The highest award for an athlete who won international competitions is to see how high they raise the national flag of their beloved Motherland among banners of other countries.

- Each nation has its own sacred symbols, embodying its honor and pride. The national flag, the personification of peace and tranquility reigning in Uzbekistan.

- Each color and symbol on the State flag of Uzbekistan carries a deep meaning. Blue color is a symbol of clear sky and water, white color is a symbol of peace and purity, green means renewal and youth, personifies the unique nature of Uzbekistan, red stripes are blood flowing in our veins, reminiscent of freedom-loving ancestors, a symbol of vitality and eternity. Created on the basis of historical values ​​and symbolizing our past, present and future, the National Flag also embodies the tremendous national power, high intelligence and willpower that we absorbed with mother’s milk, her lullabies, the instructions of great ancestors.
