Opening of the week of innovations in the oil and gas industry

November 21 this year The Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan launched the “Week of Innovations in the Oil and Gas Industry”, within the framework of which exhibitions and presentations of scientific achievements and the latest technologies in the oil and gas industry of Uzbekistan are planned.

At the opening ceremony of the event, the Deputy Minister of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shakhlo Utkurovna Turdikulova, spoke, who emphasized the importance of holding such an event, which is a universal platform for establishing the integration of science into production.

The First Deputy Chairman of the Board of “Uzbektneftegaz” JSC on transformation issues, Bekhzod Boburovich Usmanov, in his speech noted the importance of supporting science in the oil and gas industry as a fundamental factor in the development of the industry.

Abdulla Makhmudovich Magrupov, Executive Director of the Branch of Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) named after I.M. Gubkin in Tashkent, in his speech he has made a special emphasis on the education and training of engineering personnel for the oil and gas industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the basis of generally recognized world standards and training programs, and also invited guests and participants of the event to get acquainted with the developments and current projects of young scientists and faculty the composition of the branch.

The exhibition pavilion of the Ministry presents various types of innovative products and developments of scientists, ranging from new types of diesel and aviation fuel to various types of chemical reagents and import-substituting products.

In particular, on behalf of the Branch, the following developments, carried out jointly with the Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan have been presented:

  • au-ku activated carbon for adsorption treatment of spent alkanolamines and for beneficiation of ores in the metallurgical industry;
  • solvent for cleaning the surface of heat exchangers from salt deposits;
  • binder based on local raw materials for the production of coal briquettes;
  • cation exchanger for treatment of circulating and waste water for the purpose of their reuse;
  • technologies for producing highly efficient sulfanol, alumina catalyst, sodium sulfide from acid gas;
  • technology for the production of bitumen and concrete products from sulfur;
  • production of a floating pontoon.

The high interest in these developments is due to the fact that all the above developments are import-substituting products from local raw materials, and are also aimed at the possibility of recycling recycled products and industrial waste.
